The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship’s South Florida Outreach Division will host the second speaker in its Advice Straight Up: An Expert Entrepreneur Speaker Series in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Urban League of Broward Country.
Beginning in 2012 through 2014, The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship and the Florida State University College of Business will serve as lead sponsor of the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s Woman/Minority Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

The Jim Moran Institute is part of the College of Business at The Florida State University. The Jim Moran Institute includes a dedicated team of entrepreneurship professionals, academic scholars, and staff that foster the entrepreneurship spirit by helping to organize, expand and promote the knowledge and practice of entrepreneurship in such a way as to facilitate new business and further the goals of established businesses.
A 1995 contribution from Jim and Jan Moran and JM Family Enterprises, Inc., established The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship at the Florida State University College of Business. Beginning in 1998, additional contributions from Jim and Jan Moran, JM Family Enterprises, Inc., and The Jim Moran Foundation, Inc. have enabled The Jim Moran Institute to enhance its programs and services.
